I already knew about the work ethics of both Miakoda and Rebecca , but considering they both had some serious real-life issues along the road, it’s even more amazing. But everyone involved did a good job, from Matthew to Aleema who did the GUI and trailer, the person who scripted it, etc. Unfortunately, many people can sense when there is a predator in their midst, no matter how well-hidden, and this means Ashley has found it hard to make any close friends, let alone lovers. In Monster Prom, players have three weeks to find a date for the upcoming prom. The school is made up of all sorts of iconic monster archetypes, all with their own unique personalities. Emily Is Away features an early 2000s aesthetic that’ll have anyone reminiscing on those simpler times. Although the game is somewhat linear, the player is constantly presented with several dialogue choices as they attempt to connect with the elusive Emily. Set in the year 20XX, an alternate timeline where the video game crash of ’83 never happened, Arcade Spirits presents a reality where arcades still reign supreme as the go-to spot for gaming.
The one speck of intrigue is when the mystery begins 51 days into the game, when Nicole starts getting disturbing Rollr messages that promise she’ll be the next victim. Now that could have turned into something really interesting, but I know Winter Wolves better than that and expected them to fumble this royally. Sure enough, Nicole decides that not only should she refrain from telling the police that she’s being stalked and is likely the next victim, but also decides to take on solving the mystery herself. You know, because a first year pre-law student is so much better equipped for this challenge than an entire police force. That’s right, the game itself tells you to cheat to get your ideal ending.
