Netflix’s ‘Dating Around’ Review: Love’s A Surreal Game
Before Dating Around, Justin was in a relationship for six years. He broke up with his girlfriend two and a half years before the show filmed. As he explained to his dates, he was in the same relationship since he was 21, so now, his early 30s are the first time he’s really dating. In each episode, the co-creators Paul Franklin and Chris Culvenor simply point cameras at one New Yorker on a series of blind dates. A boilerplate question (Where do you live? Fans had mixed feelings about this storyline, especially since Rachel and Joey ended their relationship after a few episodes. To them, it seemed straight-up impossible for Dan to be Gossip Girl.
